I’ve had GSDs and Northern Inuits before, and I’ve trained them myself — they both turned out to be exceptionally well mannered and obedient boys.

I’ve currently got a 16 week old Husky x Malamute puppy — who seems extremely head strong. He understands simple commands; Sit, Stay, Come etc. However, he’s very temperamental when it comes to executing them.

Inside the house he does almost everything he’s told to do, but as soon as we go into the garden or the park. . . he’ll only do it if he feels like it, sometimes he’ll just flat out ignore me!

People have said I should take him to Obedience Classes. . . . . could someone please tell me what these classes entail, what do they consist of? For you and the dog?

PS: I know GSDs are ‘malleable’ dogs and Huskies are ‘stubborn’, so the comparison may seem a moot point. I’m just stating that I know what it takes to train a dog, I’m not being some kind of irresponsible lazy guy by putting off these classes.

I have a puppy Golden Retriever 9 weeks and now we have a box big enough and the door of it is currently? Sactiv? my friend had this chihuahua d' a older man who died recently. he is terrified by everyone but correct with me. we think of keeping it, but we do not know his history and it has wounds on its body and its nails are really long and they are badly it. Play. Petsmart habit its nails because us n' let us not have l' to have for the day and it bite. I cant to allow itself much and I cannot what make. suggestions?

I Have a 6 month old puppy I can ‘That, t Some very annoying cut of clothes, despite HAVING Tried Many Things. I ‘t like Cd try priv? S lessons. If public / group lessons acres only the option, I Could Go For That. She Needs of socialization as waving, I think Would freak out too much AT lessons she intended audience. After hour of Being top of the Other in the prescence the person, calmed down a little she calmly broke goal Into fits of whining and squelling shrilly, all I wouldn ‘Because, t and distance races over dick let, scratch, and jump all over the person. We Have only one more shelter, Noah, s Ark, and I DO IT Emergency Believe Any type of offers lessons. Nor Is A Petco or Petsmart or anything There type of the Within 50 minutes of here. Anyway, sorry for the long explantion. With all this Said, Does anyone know of a qualified person or place Who offers private dog training? E in Gainesville?
