If a puppy was born “dead” then revived, is it likely to have health problems in the future?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

I have a neighbor who takes care of foster dogs and puppies. She had a chihuahua that had puppies. All of the puppies had a pleasant birth except for one, which was born “dead” and after her attempt to resuscitate it, the puppy revived and is now doing well.

Is this puppy likely to have health problems in the future because of this instance?

Thank you.

just found out my 11 yr old Chihuahua has an enlarged heart. What’s best health insurance?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

The vet said one side of her heart was slightly enlarged. I found this out during a pre-screen for her dental cleaning. How do I find health insurance that will cover this. . . in case something happens?

why do most puppy breeders only offer 1 year health gaurantees?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

J' asked that front, but he unobtrusive I bc does not think qu' he was correctly written. in any event, quelqu' one s' can; you like him to tell me why the majority of the stockbreeders do not propose 1 guarantees health years against the genetic defects? J' intended certain genetic defects to take jusqu' at 7 years to appear. more, responsible stockbreeders houses screen carefully. when j' adopted my chihuahua, j' had an phone interview and to answer l' obtentor in person in front of I was even approved. Sun with l' l' helps; excuse ” people buy animals but does not give the suitable care” really does not hold. if you them genetic tests and later, a genetic anomaly showed that you had jusqu' with tested, would you be ok offering a partial refunding? J' admire really responsible stockbreeders bc they love really their baby. but theres not really much of motivation to go to a stockbreeder who tests genetically if the guarantee of health is for one year only. Or there At it something im lack? why not guarantee to be more? if the guarantees of health would be sufficient to cover all the genetic defects for the lifespan of the dog, I would be happy d' to genetically buy only stockbreeders who test, but since this n' is not the case downwards, l' incentive goes. and s' you like it, s' you like it not to make this way in a debate pure races mixed races vs/stockbreeder shelters vs. each one are large in their own manner, but this n' is not what this question is by the way. all d' allows; to be happy and find the answer =) I come from me were to put that up there bc in the past, the majority of my questions transformed into stormy debates between my answers = (oh and d' infos on my baby chi: its stockbreeder is the Mesdames and Sirs more stockbreeder of his state. chi his/her father was the best in spectacle. thus I think that I should obtain a guarantee with life

Do chihuahuas have special health problems that other dogs don’t?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

I am getting a Chihuahua, not a teacup (gosh. . . so easy to step on!) and I was wondering if they had special illnesses or diseases that other dog breeds don’t have? If so, what are they?
Yes I know teacup isn’t a dog breed but still there are teacup-sized chis so you really can’t say they don’t exist; obviously I was referring to the size, not the breed name.
I forgot to say; I am not getting like an 8-week-old puppy! The chi choices are very limited in my area. I am getting a dog about 3 months old, or older, so pottytraining isn’t a problem. Thank you anyway for listing that, but I need health information about mature dogs.
Yes, I have done research on this breed. I interviewed all my friends who had chis and I have visited the library countless times, getting a book about Chis every time, and I am now quite educated, but I still need to know a little more before I get my dream pup. It’s all in the research.

Are there any known health issues with Chihuahua’s?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

I have a Chihuahua. Kastriert she had never 3 years old and a health problem until this morning. I cough / block you awake. Almost like she tried to bring something. She would stop occasionally for a good half hour, you start again when the process. Could it be something with him? CV, I would welcome serious answers. No jokes. This case is not a joke, and I have no patience with young men now employs. She is a rescue, she was an abuser in a Pit Bull liked to throw saved. But she was never injured by Pitbull. As a former owner furiously on her, she would kick them.

What are the general health problems of a Chweenie dog?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

First of all, a Chweenie is a mixture of a dachshund and a chihuahua. I want mine to live healthy, so I want to know some of the most common health problems a Chweenie can get. Just so you know, mine is about 2 or 3 years old and only has 1 eye.

HELP!!! I have a Chihuahua and I would like to get health insurance for her would you recommend it? Which one?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

She is four and we recently took her to the vet bc she was coughing a lot they said Chihuahuas are prone to trachea collapse so it worries me that she could have. The bill was $300 for x-rays and blood sample I can only imagine how much it would cause if it turns out to be something serious! She is my first pet!!!! I LOVE HER!!!!!!
