I recently just got a chihuahua puppy (born late september 2010). And I brought him home 2 nights ago. At night while we sleep he wheezes, and last night I woke up to him wheezing and his limbs were jerking. And he was heavy/limp when i lifted him up trying to wake him up. Today he is fine, but is this serious? What should I do? He also doesn’t seem to be eating much (being a very picky eater) I tried to mix in his wet food, his hard food, and he picked every single one of those kibbles out and put it in his water and floor. He seems to attack the wet food when i give it to him, and he does the same with purina cat food (he sneaks into the cat food area sometimes before we catch him).
I’m giving him baths daily because he was covered in fleas (it’s a normal shampoo due to me not having any flea shampoo as of right now) I condition too, so his skin doesn’t get dried out.
He also does this really quick jerk sometimes like a dog might when they are spooked and about to bite you. But when he jerks and eyes your hand he doesn’t even open his mouth. And acts like nothing happened.
