I am looking into in home dog obedience training for my 4 month old pit puppy and so far am most interested in Peaceful Pawz which is owned by Marianne Courey and located in Metro Detroit. I can’t seem to find any reviews on her or her company and was hoping for a little help on here! The price is very reasonable (5 sessions/100$) but want to know if the training is worth it! Thanks!
My boyfriend almost hit him with his car, and when he confronted the owner he was told to ‘take him if you want him’ because he didn’t apparently. So now we have Buddy Holly, sine the dog never had a name- just lived there.
So, we need training tips for a slightly older dog.
www.Dog-Training-Works.com – Training a dog is like building a house. If the foundation isnt solid, every effort made at gaining dog obedience will yield unpredictable and oftentimes short-term results. So, how do you build a strong foundation for effective dog training? You NEED to establish yourself as the alpha dog and gain your dogs respect.

When people come over, our dog barks, and growls, and nips he is loving and cuddly with our immediate family. It doesn’t even make a difference when our other dog (jack/pug mix) is friendly and cuddly with anyone who comes in the house. I have tried to have the person offer treats, and he takes the treat but doesn’t warm up to others. He is such a great dog with us, and I want others to love him too!
my little dog needs a home!
my chihuahua is 5 years old and weighs 3 lbs. she does well in groups of other dogs. i am having a baby in about a month and my little dog has some issues and i don’t think it would be in her best interests to stay in our home.
she still tends to go to pee in the house. she needs let out constantly and crated when we sleep and when we are at work, and we work alot.
also, she recently has had “episodes” with something that seems like a seizure. it may be neurological, as she has been bred so small, i know dogs like this can tend to have health problems.
she needs a home where i don’t have to worry about whether or not she will get proper care if needed, and where she won’t be mistreated, as her potty problem can be frustrating.
i love her alot and have had her since birth and would feel too guilty to sell her for money. i was hoping there was some sort of placement program to make sure she’s taken care of. not the humance society or pound.
k, pit bull, thanks for being no help at all. . . i am getting rid of the dog because i have spent all i can afford to help her and dont want her to die. i can tell you don’t have children or you might understand. sorry, i suppose i should let my son on the way starve so i can cover my vet bills.
will anyone else who is going to make me feel awful please not answer this?? i have had the dog for 5 years and i am really upset about the whole situation. . i just want her to be ok. i’m not rich and i would take care of her if i could. i am scared of what might be wrong and if i don’t do anything her situation could get worse and i can’t handle thinking that it is my fault.
it’s not so much about the baby. i also have a 2 year old daughter and have had my dog since 3 years before she was born. so i’m not “dumping” my dog, (as someone so sensitively put it) because of a new baby on the way.
i put the thing about house training in there not because it is an issue i am getting rid of her over, since i probly wouldv’e done that, say 4 YEARS AGO had i not been able to handle it. i put that because if you are trying to find a home for a pet and be responsible, it is probably a factor that you’d need to include in issues with the dog.
