Can I take my high anxiety dog to obedience training?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

I have a rat terrier that is as sweet as can be but she is not good with walks and could use some professional training. She is a year old. She gets very anxious around other dogs – is it ok to take her obedience training? If not, what are some good alternatives?

how to take care of a baby teacup chihuahua?

I just got this little guy yesterday his mom died during birth and the lady who had him gave him to me because she did not have the time to look after him. Since he is only four weeks old I went and bought him this food called royal canin that was recommended to me by a worker at petsmart it is really soft mushy food and he just loves it i have an XL wire crate that is 100 times the size of him that i have been keeping him in with blankets so he can keep warm and a pee pad that he is using he sleeps a lot and when awake he is playful and likes to chew on my figure. Should i be doing something else to care for him i just want to keep him healthy and warm since i have to substitute as his mom i was just curious if there is anything else i should be doing for him.
No rude comments please thank you :)
Lindsey f**K YOU cunt i said no rude comments u cant say nothing nice shuv it . . . . thank u everyone else just so u kno she was not a breeder she gave me the pup for free! breeders do not give their pups away i do not want to take him out until 8 weeks he is still to small so puppy pads will have to do for now :) then it is strait to potty training but thank you for your nice comments an advice i guess some people dont see what im doing as saving and trying to keep this pup alive and give it a happy life they perfer it b dead in the ground but their just ugly people

Can we just take the stigma off the Chihuahua, please?

Posted under: Chihuahua Articles

I own a Chihuahua and he’s the best dog I’ve ever owned!

He’s sweet, and playful, and cuddly, and SMART!

He’s not YAPPY OR AN ANKLE BITER! Of course he barks when an unknown person knocks on the door, but I would expect that from a good dog! He recognizes friends’ footsteps and greets them with the doggy dance at the door.

Every time someone writes about Chihuahuas being nervous or having bad temperaments just makes my blood boil.

Let’s fill this up with GOOD Chihuahua experiences.
He’s a long coat, Briana.

But in my opinion, Chis don’t require any more training than other dogs. They just need training, period.
