I’m trying to train my dog Whiskey not to pee on the carpet. He is a three week old golden retriever. This problem has been non stop and my wife and i are at wits end. we have tried everything from yelling to rubbing his nose in it. My good friend Oscar across the hall tells me that he has had this problem before and the best solution is to hit him until he relents. i have tried this, but to no avail. Please help, because im afraid ill have to put him down if we cannot resolve this issue.

please give me some advise i need some training tips on a german shepherd
I’m 18 years old and my family just got a new puppy yesterday and we’re picking him up Wednesday May 17. Its a puppy Eskipoo (American Eskimo Dog/Poodle) and he’s only a few weeks old. We never had a puppy before so I’m just asking for a few basic tips. My mom said we’re going to crate train him and I’m not 100% what that is so any tips on that too? Any help would be good thanks :]

I am admittedly a very bad dog owner. With my past history with pets (especially dogs) I think I have broken every rule in the book. My father would barely every display any interest in training our pets and even neglected walking them. I want to change this because I know its not healthy for the dogs. So i have begun walking them and giving them attention and exercise. However I just recently started displaying some dominance over my dogs (were going from king and queen of the house to pack members). At this point my dog is kind of just. . . observing me. Im guessing she is waiting for something to happen. But My question is are there any kind of tips for ensuring your dominance over your pet and any tricks I can teach them that you can share?
i recently took my dog to pet smart for training at the puppy level. he did great. he learned sit, stay, come, lay down, leave it, and drop it, and shake over a 6 week course. he graduated saturday and i want him to learn more but i dont want to take him back to the training be cause all they really did was tell me how to teach him. so i feel like if someone told me what they cover in the intermediate class then i could teach him the rest myself and save $100 bucks. any tips from people who have taken there dogs to the intermediate classes?
