This is a request for your opinion so there are no right or wrong answers.
To be specific, i am speaking about the pure bred akc registered smooth coat chihuahua verses the north american Caucasian female. Both of these are headstrong and stubborn and have a long history of difficulty in training. Which do you find to be more difficult? What training techniques have you found to be effective in each? Personally, i like to use positive reinforcement in when training. I like the chicken jerky treats as rewards for the chihuahuas and have had exceptional results with “shiny things” with the wife. (example of shiny things: jewelery, either real or fake, diamonds, gold, etc. ) Also remember that while praise is useful, it can often be misinterpreted by the female. Often the words “and what exactly do you mean by THAT” can be heard following sincere (or insincere) praise. So be wary, and remember that reference to the size of the posterior is always off limits, as well as the unattractiveness of your greatest enemy/distraction in training. The dreaded beast called the “mother in law”. Personally, i have had success training both, but the chihuahua, at least for me, requires far less initial training not to mention that the chihuahua does not need as much continued maintenance. Not to mention the cost involved in acquiring, training, and maintaining the wife/girlfriend. Although both can be rewarding, the chihuahua is much less expensive and if you have to choose between the two, i`d definitely stick with the chihuahua. So, tell me about your training experiences
@Steven B- poor thing, it seems you have been quite well trained by the wife/gf. There is nothing wrong with that. There always has to be one who`s dominant and one who follows in a relationship. Although personally, I couldnt be the bish, it`s ok that you have chosen (or been pushed into) that role in your own life.
